The launch of the Intel Centrino chip technology was unprecendented. It was the first time such wireless technology had been introduced on a massive scale to its customers. The Intel systems equipped with these technologies delivered better performance, longer battery life and broad wireless network interoperability. The challenge was to communicate such ephemeral advantages to an audience that was ready to be educated.
In a multiagency effort, the Intel Centrino launch naturally entailed the work of a group of interdisciplanary creative directors. My contribution was to environment design and the supporting collateral materials that were used to introduce the Intel Centrino equipped computer WIFI technology to travelers at branded hostpots at Heathrow, Narita, JFK, and SFO among others.
